SILC plans and strengthens independent living services across all six main islands — guided by the people those services exist for.

Roles & responsibilities
SILC is established under federal law (the Rehabilitation Act, as amended by WIOA). We develop the State Plan for Independent Living, monitor its progress, and partner with the Centers for Independent Living and the Designated State Entity.
